CS2 Continues Win Streak with Win vs Fuel Save

MANILA, Philippines – Contractual Staff 2 has reached the summit of the 2015 Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation basketball league by trouncing Retailers Fuel Save, 80-68, to become the tournament champion on Tuesday, January 19 at Asia Pacific College’s gymnasium in Makati City.

Reliable swingman Angel Ferrer starred in Contractual Staff 2’s cruise to the Promised Land as with a notable double-double performance of 23 markers and 14 boards to go along with one dime and five steals.

Cold-blooded gunslinger Rommel Lumague distributed 18 points for the winning team and converted three out of his seven beyond-the-arc attempts.

Mark Pasco also shined for Contractual Staff 2 by registering 18 markers, while John Leo Antonio made ten baskets.

Contractual Staff 2 became the highly-touted troop to win it all after sweeping the single-round elimination and ending the round with an immaculate 9-0 record.

On the other hand, Retailers Fuel Save entered the quarter-finals as the second seed with a pleasing 7-2 win-loss standing.

Despite the huge victories over Contractual Staff 3 and V-Power Retail, Retailers Fuel Save fell short against the powerhouse lineup of Contractual Staff 2, which committed 22 turnovers in the game as compared to Fuel Save’s 16 errors.

Carlo Montoya spearheaded Retailers Fuel Save’s unsuccessful bid to pull off an upset with 20 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals.
