UnitedHealth Group Slips Past Sitel to Remain on Top Spot

MANILA, Philippines – UnitedHealth Group was on the verge of losing its grip on the top spot of the 2016 BPO Classics’ Intermediate Division, but the squad managed to turn it around by capturing a 60-56 win over Sitel on Saturday, June 11 at the Makati Coliseum in Makati City.

Roberto Valdes Jr. bombarded the frontline unit of Sitel with his double-double effort as he collected 16 points, 10 rebounds, one steal and one block.

Valdes had a substantial backup from Jeff Cangco, who had 12 markers and converted 4 of his 9 beyond-the-arc jumpers.

Meanwhile, starting center Terry Ajayi dominated the rebounding and blocking departments by picking up 15 boards and 9 blocks to go along with 8 points.

On the other hand, Sitel proved a worthy counterpart against UnitedHealth Group as the brigade kept themselves within striking distance with the help of second stringer Jerel Lacostales, who had a 17-point production.

UnitedHealth Group improved to a 4-1 record, while Sitel downgraded to a 1-3 win-loss slate.
