Microsourcing, PSG Global Solutions face off for Recreational crown

Microsourcing and PSG Global Solutions arranged a meeting in the final of the 2016 BPO Classics Recreational division after similar victories over top seeded squads last Sunday at Asia Pacific College.

PSG Global proved to be the thorn in Sitel’s side, eliminating Sitel B with a 63-54 win days after bundling out Sitel A in the first semifinal round.

A 15-5 run in the final 6:53 of the game that pushed the lead to 10, 61-51, sealed PSG Global’s championship berth and frustrated Sitel B, which had finished top of its group before the semi with a 6-0 record.

JC Salvo led PSG Global with an overall game of 20 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals. Gian del Rosairo added 10 makers and seven board.

PSG Global hard to recover from a slow start, where it trailed by 10 just five minutes into the ball game, but leaned on its solid rebounding, 55-37, to overcome Sitel.

Isiah Gomez had 18 points, four assists and eight whopping steals for Sitel, which just couldn’t sustain its attack against PSG Global despite the scattered leads. Allen Gomez had 11 points and four swipes.

Microsourcing, meanwhile, ran the floor and trumped Shell Business Operations (SBO), 67-62, for the other spot in the title round.

After staring at a 10-point deficit early in second period, Microsourcing turned things around and took the lead, 43-42, on a bucket from Edwin Salonga, for good at the 3:03 mark of the third.

Enwel Luna, Daniel Cataros and Anthony Soriano all conspired to keep the lead on their side and pushed it to as big as nine, 62-53, with 3:51 to play.

All there finished in double digit scoring for Microsourcing with Luna leading the way with 13 off the bench. Soriano and Cataros had 12 apiece.

SBO, which was also the top seed in group A with an undefeated card, failed to capitalize on its strong start and let Microsourcing dictate the tempo, yielding 20 points off 20 turnovers.

Artheodore Malayas finished with a team best 12 points in a losing effort for SBO while Bob Tongol and Henan Sison chipped in 11 apiece.
