MANILA, Philippines – In the last game of PSPC’s elimination round. CS2 hammered its sister team CS3 to claim a 72-34 victory on Tuesday, January 10 at Asia Pacific College in Makati City.
CS2 was led by John Faustino, who flirted a double-double performance. He amassed 22 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Faustino received a helping hand from court general Alex Castillo, who almost had a double-double output. Castillo finished with 18 markers, nine boards, two dimes by playing for 30 minutes on the floor.
The other player in CS2 uniform who tallied double figures in scoring was Jonathan Sambile, who hauled 12 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks.
Despite bowing down to CS2 in the final match before proceeding to the playoff round, CS3 had good numbers from John Polinar. Polinar picked up 16 markers, 18 boards and three dimes.
CS2 enters the quarter-final knockout phase, occupying the No. 7 spot. The team is set to square off with No. 2-ranked SBO 1.
