Six new teams test their mettle as action in the the 2017 Next5Hoops Corporate Recreational Division returns last weekend.
First DataCorp, Unionbank, CityState Savings Bank, Goto Pilipinas, Albertsons Safeway, Inc. and Accenture are out to make their mark in the tournament organized by One Unite Sports & Events, Inc.
SCMC-ARA is back to extend its reign while Solar Entertainment returns to the fray after a brief break from the competition, which caters to different corporate companies in Metro Manila.
Teams will play in a single-round robin elimination round with the top four advancing to the knockout semifinal round. The crown will also be disputed in a one-off finale, making the competition even more intense.
Since its inception in 2013, Next5Hoops Corporate has continued to expand its reach, launching the Recreational Division in 2016 to make it possible for less-experienced ballers to play competitively.
Only bonafide employees of the participating companies are allowed to play for the teams in the Next5Hoops Corporate tournament.
