MANILA, Philippines — At least sixteen BPO-company backed teams will slug it out in the third installation of BPO Classics Basketball Tournament which unfurls on Sunday, March 30, at the Makati Coliseum.
Expert Global Solutions, the champion in both the Elite Division and Competitive Division last year, is out to extend its reign against a tough pool with the familiar foes like Shell Business Service Centre – Manila, US Autoparts, Infinit Outsourcing, Inc. and Ring Central.
Eleven new squads, meanwhile, are eager to make their mark in the annual tournament organized by One Unite Sports.
Sykes Asia, Inc., AMMEX I-Support, IBM, Stefanini, Microsourcing, Inc., EXL Service Philippines, Inc., CFOS (Cash Flow Outsourcing Services), HSBC, Telstra, Xerox and C3 are the newest participants of the BPO Classics, which started in 2012 with 15 teams.
From division 1 and division 2 in 2013, this year’s competition is divided to three divisions this year: competitive, intermediate and recreational, with pride and bragging rights among BPO companies at stake.
Ring Central and CFOS will kick off tournament at 5 p.m. following a brief opening ceremony, while reigning titlist EGS will take on newcomer IBM at 6:30 p.m at Makati Coliseum.
Registration for the event will start at 3 p.m.
