League-leader Infinit Outsourcing Inc., meanwhile, reached the finale with a 74-61 win over Shell Business Service Center – Manila.
After losing to HSBC in the elimination round, EGS meant business in their knockout semifinals meeting at the Makati Coliseum with all but of the 15 fielded players chipping in at least a point.
EGS opened with a 19-7 lead, doubled its advantage by halftime and never let HSBC to come alive.
Ezekiel Echane finished with a game-best 15 points and six rebounds while Manuel Andrada Jr. added 10 points and six rebounds.
Out to derail EGS’s campaign is the unscathed Infinit-O which finished the elims with a 7-0 card.
Norman Nunez and Ceris Niel Bunye churned out 17 markers apiece while Cyrus Malagueno Homer Jagunap combined for 30 points for Infinit-O.
EGS and Infinit-O start their Competitive Division finals on Sunday, June 22, also at the Makati Coliseum. Game time is at 6:15 p.m.
In the Intermediate Division, Xerox and EXL clash for the crown after contrasting victories in the final four.
Xerox had it easy against US Autoparts and earned a finals berth with a 70-59 victory, while EXL had to hang tough against Microsourcing EV for a 59-54 triumph.
They face each other at 4:40 p.m., also on Sunday at the same venue.
Ammex I-Support and SBSC also begin their titular bout in the Recreational Division at 3:10 p.m.
Ammex I-Support nipped Ring Central, 75-73, while SBSC-Manila disposed of CFOS, 82-73, en route to the title round.
