MANILA, Philippines – SYKES Asia sill had the last laugh at the end of 2015 BPO Classics – 2nd Conference’ recreational season as the team claimed the tourney’s coveted top prize by defeating Sitel II, 72-68, on Sunday, January 10 at the 3,000-capacity Makati Coliseum in Makati City.
Riding high on the momentum of its noteworthy winning streak in the elimination round, SYKES sealed its title-winning blow to Sitel II with the significant help from Allan Pol Morales, who dished 19 points to come along with four rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block.
Meanwhile, Neil Prince Zubiagahad a double-double output of 18 markers and 11 boards to support Morales’ cold-blooded scoring for Sykes.
Two skippers in Sykes uniform were also in double figures as Alfredo Fulay and Teodorico Primo Dulay made 14 and 11 points respectively.
On the other hand, Sitel II was steered by Mark Odeomene with a game high of 20 baskets to give his squad a fighting chance against Sykes.
Mel Zapanta also contributed 13 to Sitel II’s losing effort, Jason Silverio hauled 12 markers, and James Gella pitched 11 points.
