Aling Lucy’s, Dasma Gym Continue Winning Role

MANILA, Philippines – Aling Lucy’s and Dasma Gym kept their winning momentum alive and kicking by defeating their respective counterparts in the ongoing Next5Hoops South eliminations on Sunday, March 6 at the EJG Lucky Gym in Parañaque City.

Aling Lucy’s pounded South Forbes Villa with a 78-62 conquest, while Dasma Gym shrugged off GEC with a 70-57 victory.

Aling Lucy’s was led by the collective exertions from Reynaldo Cudia, Franklin Mancio, John Tuliao and Vincent Puno to improve the team’s record to 2-0.

Cudia finished with 14 points, while Mancio had 11 markers to go along with 5 boards, one dime and 4 steals.

On the other hand, Tuliao and Puno chipped in 10 baskets each for Aling Lucy’s, a team that is now becoming a favorite to enter the tourney’s finals.

Despite bowing down to Aling Lucy’s, South Forbes Villa earned a stellar outing from Xander Sarmiento, who hauled 23 points, 4 rebounds, two assists and 3 steals.

In the other match-up, Dasma Gym bannered Ryan Rosas’ 22-point output to tie the squad’s record on top of the team standings.

JV Orera operated GEC’s frontline unit in a losing effort with a double-double performance of 13 markers and 10 rebounds.
