ET Homes, DECA 8990 Enter Winning Column After Trumping Foes

MANILA, Philippines – After bowing down in their respective season-opening games last week, ET Homes and DECA 8990 broke into the winning column as both teams picked up their first wins in the ongoing Next5Hoops South eliminations on Sunday, March 6 at the EJG Lucky Gym in Parañaque City.

Martin Palisoc led ET Homes in edging the never-say-die squad of Kingsmen with a 101-99 triumph and received the “Best Player of the Game” nod for his all-around effort of 21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and one block.

Palisoc was joined by Joshua Palacio, who amassed 19 markers to go along with 3 boards, 4 dimes and one steal.

Aside from the two aforementioned skippers, Jeson Delfinado and Roger Domingo contributed decent numbers to ET Homes’ conquest against Kingsmen by having 18 points each.

On Kingsmen’s part, the gutsy brigade heavily relied on Jeb Carl Po, who hauled a game high of 30 points and registered 7 rebounds, 5 assists, two steals and two blocks.

In the second game, DECA 8990 pummeled last conference’ champs Major Homes (M.M. Salas) with a 105-96 victory to place the team’s name on the winning track.

Mark Orias shined bright like a diamond with 22 points, while Mark Eugene Rey Madera, Lawrence Paolo Rapinan and Jaypee Sarao scorched the rim with 16 markers apiece for DECA 8990.

Despite the losing effort, Dan Natividad and Mark Tarrobal stepped up for MM Salas by combing 45 points.
