MANILA, Philippines – After losing its season-opening game against Aling Lucy’s, ET Homes sent a loud and clear message that the team is a force to be reckoned with in the 2016 Next5Hoops South tourney by obliterating South Forbes Villas with a 116-77 shutout on Saturday, March 12 at the EJG Lucky Gym in Parañaque City.
Five men in ET Homes uniform were in scoring double figures as Martin Palisoc top the gunslinger’s list by firing 32 markers to improve the squad’s record to 2-1 in the ongoing elimination round.
Jesus Manay hauled 18 points for ET Homes, while Derick Tobias was shy by one basket to tie with his teammate’s output.
ET Homes also received a helping hand from Jeson Delfinado and Wuren Ambatali, who finished with 12 and 11 points respectively.
With the disappointing setback to ET Homes, South Forbes Villas dropped its second-straight outing in the competition.
Despite the excruciating defeat, South Forbes Villas heavily relied on Bryan Francisco and Jaric Gutierrez, who managed to combine 44 markers.
On the same day, GEC and Dasma Gym picked up respective wins in their continuing campaigns in the season.
Tony Custodio led GEC to a 96-88 victory over Major Homes Properties by attaining an all-around double-double performance of 21 points and 11 rebounds to go along with two assists, one steal and one block.
Meanwhile, Dasma Gym routed Kingsmen with a 105-100 triumph that was spearheaded by Ryan Rosas, who singlehandedly copped 28 markers to barge the brigade into an immaculate 3-0 slate.
