Kingsmen Wallop South Forbes Villas; Major Homes, GEC Top Counterparts

MANILA, Philippines – After their lackluster start in the 2016 Next5Hoops South tourney, Kingsmen finally furnished a statement-making victory by disposing South Forbes Villas, 86-57, on Saturday, March 19 at the EJG Lucky Gym in Parañaque City.

Jun Callelero and Jeb Carl Po acted as the workhorse for Kingsmen as the team improved to a 2-1 win-loss card in the elimination round.

Callelero flirted a double-double performance by dishing out 20 markers to come along with 9 rebounds and 6 dimes, while Po bombarded South Forbes Villas’ frontline unit with 20 points, two rebounds, 3 assists and one steal.

Meanwhile, South Forbes Villas heavily relied on Bryan Francisco, who produced excellent numbers for his squad by hauling 22 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and one block.

In the second game of the day, Art Andres and Dan Natividad led Major Homes to a 95-84 conquest of E.T. Homes.

Andres drilled the basket with 18 markers, while Natividad contributed 13 points to Major Homes’ win over E.T. Homes.

On the other hand, GEC got the job done against DECA 8990 in a nail-biting fashion as they routed their counterpart, 126-120.

Patrick Aquino shined the brightest for GEC as he racked 29 points and 10 rebound to go with 3 assists.
