MANILA, Philippines – The 2016 BPO Classics’ Recreational Plus bracket has finally commenced as ARMCO and Arriva Medical had set the tone early in their respective campaigns on Sunday, May 8 at the Treston International College in Taguig City.
ARMCO Healthcare Services easily disposed the 2015 recreational division champion Ring Central with a 77-59 victory as cold-blooded gunslinger Lorenzo Jacob bombarded their opponents with 21 markers, 7 boards, one dime and one steal.
Back-up skipper Russell Fouad Rida also contributed to ARMCO’s bid to place the squad on the winning track as he made 13 points, while Lester Pacete was also in double scoring figures as he added 10.
On the other hand, resident wingman Joel Nalindhom led Ring Central as he amassed 16 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.
In the second match, Ed Leonardo Salvador and Raymon Papa steered Arriva Medical to a 61-47 conquest of Cloud Sherpas.
Salvador and Papa finished with 13 points each, but the two men received a cumbersome assistance from Joseph Allen Paul Carlos, who delivered 11 markers.
Meanwhile, Cloud Sherpas had a lackluster outing as the brigade only fielded 6 players on the court, with Robbie Dell Macatbag leading the way to score 22 points.
