MANILA, Philippines – Telstra had picked up its groove in the recreational division of the 2016 BPO Classics season as the 15-man troop easily cruised to a 61-46 victory over PPOC on Sunday, May 8 at the Treston International College in Taguig City.
Coming off the bench, Ryan De Venecia hammered PPOC’s defenders by hauling 12 points, 4 rebounds and one assist to insert Telstra to winner’s column.
De Venecia was not all alone mounting the offense for Telstra as Claro Daluro contributed 11 markers, 3 boards and one dime.
Meanwhile, Chris Charon dominated the rebounding department with 14 to compliment 6-point outing in the game versus PPOC.
On the other hand, Bernard Louie Manares produced good numbers for PPOC as he drilled the basket with 15 points along with 3 rebounds and one steal.
In the first fixture of the day, PSG Global Solutions edged out Eastvantage with a 51-49 triumph as Rico Martin Fermo and Lord Cromwell Abrigo stepped up and operated the frontline unit with 9 points each.
Furthermore, HCCA defeated the never-say-die Ubiquity brigade by bannering a 62-60 conquest as back-up skipper Raymond Ordoñez rattled in 9 points for his team’s victory.
