MANILA, Philippines – As the 2016 BPO Classics season continues, the recreational division’s bracket B showcased two shutout victories by QBE and AMMEX I-Support against their respective foes on Sunday, May 15 at the Treston International College in Taguig City.
QBE manhandled Telstra with an 85-60 conquest of Telstra as cold-blooded gunslinger Sherwin Cantos drilled 29 markers to come along with 3 boards, 5 dimes and 5 steals.
Noel Sabordo and Joel Godoy joined the fiasco and made sure QBE would be entering the winner’s column as both men made 16 and 11 points correspondingly.
Despite coming off the bench, Ryan De Venecia produced good numbers for Telstra as he tallied with 12 points by playing more than 22 minutes on the floor.
However, De Venecia did not receive enough firepower from his teammates as Chris Sales chipped in 10 points for Telstra.
John Paul Jocson and Jack De Joya led AMMEX I Support to a 63-51 triumph over PPOC as the two skippers scored 19 and 17 points.
Nino Renato Kison III’s 17-point production served as the anchor for PPOC’s bid to break into the winning track.
Kison was also 50-percent from long range as the gutsy wingman managed to drill 5 of his 10 three-pointers.
