MANILA, Philippines – Down by a hairline with 3 ticks left in the game, Charles Mendoza’s gutsy jumper pushed Accenture in capturing a 62-61 victory over The Results Companies on Sunday, May 22 at Asia Pacific College in Makati City.
From a smooth dish from Morgan Galang, Mendoza did not hesitate to sink in a go-ahead basket to turn the tables on Results Companies and insert Accenture into the winner’s column.
Prior to his game-winning shot, Mendoza dominated the rebounding department by picking up 18 boards to come with 9 markers, one dime and one steal.
Aside from Mendoza, Joven Tecson racked up a 16-point production to come along with 7 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block.
Despite bowing down to Accenture, Teyron Hermoso led Results Companies in attempting to bring down Accenture as he hauled 19 points, 8 rebounds, two assists and one block.
Coming off the bench, Jose Rodolfo De Vera managed to have Hermosa’s back by tallying with 14 markers, 8 boards and 3 boards.
