MANILA, Philippines – Sitel carved an indelible niche in the early proceedings of Recreational Division’s elimination phase by dominantly trouncing PPOC, 78-38, on Sunday, May 22 at Asia Pacific College in Makati City.
Back-up skipper Jayvee Castillo received the “Best Player of the Game” citation for his off-the-bench contribution of 14 points, 6 rebounds and two assists.
Castillo’s fellow second stringer Allen Zaldy Gomez also contributed to Sitel’s conquest of PPOC by finishing with 10 markers, 5 boards and 3 dimes, while starting forward Percival Sanchez added 10.
As PPOC’s starters failed to break into double digits with their respective scoring outputs, team leaned on standby wingman Jerryfer Monte, who managed to collect 11 points in the ball game.
Nino Renato Kison III and Mervin Ty tried their best to lend their helping hand to Monte as both men pitched in 7 points in PPOC’s lackluster outing against SItel B.
