MANILA, Philippines – Teleperformance maintained a strong fourth-quarter momentum to fend off the impetuous rally from Global Payments, 80-73, on Sunday, May 22 at the EJG Lucky Gym in Parañaque City.
Marlo Maglinao Jr. and Allan Wayne Violeta served as the foundation to burst the bubble of Global Payments in the fourth and final frame.
Maglinao pulled an all-around performance and flirted with a double-double outing by amassing 16 points, 9 rebounds one assist, one steal and two blocks.
On the other hand, Violeta rattled in 16 markers to come along with 5 boards, two dimes and two steals as Teleperformance moved up in the team standings of BPO Classics’ Competitive Division.
Despite suffering a disappointing setback at the hands of Teleperformance, Global Payments was carried by Vic Brenzter Cardenas’ double-double production of 28 points and 20 rebounds.
The loss did not hinder Jonty Cruz to raise the team’s banner so high with his 20-point output that went with 3 rebounds and two assists.
