MANILA, Philippines – Sitel remain as the alpha team of the recreational division’s second bracket by defeating Telstra, 63-58, on Saturday, June 4 at the Makati Coliseum in Makati City.
Winning 4-straight games in the ongoing elimination round, Sitel secured the stature as the early favorite to win it all the way behind Anthony Babista’s 15-point production.
Starter Allen Zaldy Gomez contributed 12 markers to Sitel victory, while second stringer Jayvee Castillo added 10.
Meanwhile, Telstra downgraded to a 1-3 win-loss slate and was led by Chris Sales, who attempted to insert his team into the winner’s column with 20 points.
In the second match, QBE handed Microsourcing its first taste of defeat in the season by claiming a 78-72 triumph.
Joel Godoy flirted with a double-double performance by amassing 18 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals for QBE, which upgraded its record to 3-1.
On the other hand, Microsourcing dropped to 3-1, tying with QBE at second place of the bracket’s team standings.
