MANILA, Philippines – After falling into a two-game losing pit, Eastvantage brought back the shimmer on the floor by picking up a 71-64 win over Sitel in the ongoing elimination round of the 2016 BPO Classics’ Recreational Division (Bracket A) on Saturday, June 11 at the Makati Coliseum in Makati City.
Returning to its winning ways was made possible by second stringer Richard Salarda as he achieved a double-double output of 23 points and 12 rebounds to improve Eastvantage’s win-loss slate to 2-3.
Salarda’s fellow back-up wingman Lestser Luigi Magallanes also played a pivotal role as he hauled 17 makers, two boards, 5 dimes and 3 steals.
On the other hand, Sitel has now lost two-straight outings and downgraded to a 3-2 standing in the tourney’s elimination phase.
Sitel was led by Mark Henbren Odoemene, who made 23 points, 5 rebounds, two assists and one steal in the squad’s losing effort against Eastvantage.
Odoemene had Jopher Ora and James Gella in Sitel’s offensive backbone as the two contributed 14 and 12 markers respectively.
