MANILA, Philippines – Ring Central has been struggling all season long, but the brigade made sure to walk out of the Makati Coliseum with the victory on Saturday, June 11 by carving a 69-67 win over PPOC.
Improving to a 2-3 win-loss slate and securing the No. 5 seat in the team standings of the recreational division’s Bracket B, Ring Central was shepherded by Ulysses Gonzales, who accomplished a double-double performance by amassing 15 points and 13 rebounds to go along with one assist, two steals and one block.
Gonzales received a helping hand from Tito Cedrick Dale and David Yusay, who made 10 points each for Ring Central.
Despite bowing down to Ring Central, PPOC had outstanding numbers from Nino Renato Kison III, who claimed a game-high 24 markers to come with 3 boards and 3 dimes.
Meanwhile, Bernard Louie Manares attained a double-double feat of his own by collecting 13 points and 18 rebounds.
With the disappointing defeat to Ring Central, PPOC remains winless in the tourney and downgraded to a record of 0-5.
