FNC Tops Wolfpack; KPATS Squads Pull Off Wins

MANILA, Philippines – With a rigid neck-and-neck race to the top of the recreational division of the Next5Hoops Metro Manila, FNC had to dig deep to attain a hard-fought victory over Wolfpack, 84-74, on Sunday, November 20 at Asia Pacific College in Makati City.

Ronelio Toledo dominated the scoring and rebounding to steer FNC to a triumph against Wolfpack, registering a rare triple-double production of 20 markers, 17 boards and ten dimes.

Toledo received a substantial support from fellow starters Ervie Lacap and Adrian Suguilon, who finished with 21 and 19 points respectively.

Despite bowing down to FNC, Wolfpack made it sure that the two teams would have to battle it out for the elusive win as Eugene Galarin manned his brigade with 21 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Meanwhile, both north and south squads of KPATS came out on top of their respective foes on the same game day.

KAPTS North leaned on Jericho Felix and Cedric Matugas’ combined 51-point output to beat Yokohama, 101-93.

On the other hand, second stringer Errol Sawal scored 20 markers to lift KPATS South against Flight with a 65-54 win.
