MANILA, Philippines – As the playoff picture of the 2016 BPO Classics’ Recreational division continues to take shape, Sitel attained a statement-making victory over Eximius, 89-53, on Sunday, November 27 at the STI Academic Center in Quezon City.
Sitel obliterated the undermanned Eximius squad courtesy of the scoring brilliance of Jayvee Castillo, who had 19 points to go along with 14 rebounds.
Castillo was not left alone in his shooting spree as starter Allen Zaldy Gomez and backup winger John Carlo Rivera finished with 15 and 12 markers respectively.
Meanwhile, Eximius was led by the joint efforts of Aries Aquino and Bernard Malipot, who hauled 14 points each for their team.
Eximius only fielded seven players in the game against Sitel, which paraded a complete lineup to ensure the lopsided win.
In the other match-up on the same game day, PPOC hammered Eclaro with a 70-58 conquest by leaning on Sixto Jacinto, who delivered 24 points to break his team into the winner’s column.
Aside from PPOC, Transcom was also triumphant in its encounter versus Converga, securing an 80-61 victory.
Second stringer Aaron Caringal manned the offense for Transcom and bombarded the opposing frontline unit with his 14-point output.
