With Gulp Sharks leading by as much 17 points with five minutes left, 9GVISA.PH kept knocking at the door but didn’t have enough time.

Mark Soriano led all scorers with 24 points in a losing effort for West Rembo.

In the other Intermediate game, Caron held on to defeat Mage, 84-78.

Errol Bongay unleashed 27 points and 27 rebounds to lead Caron. Francis Claverol also had 27 markers while RK Cui added 25.

Mage leaned on Mauro Lumba’s 31-point, 23-rebound performance to keep up with Caron.

Paolo Abaldonado dropped a double-double with 24 and 10 boards in leading Eastside.
