Goto Pilipinas, Wednesday Group and Tsek Repablik led the scoring onslaught in the Intermediate Division of the Next5Hoops Metro Manila Central leg over the weekend.
Goto Pilipinas was ruthless in demolishing EC Gasifiers, 166-44, at the Asia Pacific College Gym.
Roel Juanson outscored the entire EC side, which had only six players, with an eye-popping statline of 47 points on 8-of-14 shooting from three.
Jobert Castro also had an equally impressive feat, finishing with 42 points—all from beyond the arch.
With only one sub, EC GAS just didn’t stand a chance against Goto Pilipinas but Charles De Leon did his best with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Tsek Repablik also fired on all cylinders, routing Wizards, 137-101.
Tsek Repablik took the life out of its foe with 24 whopping triples, 14 courtesy of June Crespo who sizzled with 42 points.
Jack Azcueta and Edson Aricson also did damage on the other areas of the game with the former registering eight points and 19 assists and the latter with 21 points and 15 boards.
Wizards simply couldn’t match Tsek Repablik’s firepower but Bryan Paculan put on a valiant performance with 34 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
Wednesday Group also leaned on its hot shooting to beat Mage, 115-84.
Four players knocked down at least two triples with Daven Gallindez getting all of his 15 points from downtown.
Marlon Borre led the way for Wednesday Group with an impressive triple double of 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
Mage struggled to keep up with Wednesday Group with only six players suiting up and 21 turnovers to slow then down further.
Mauro Lumba had 30 points in a losing effort for Mage.
Meanwhile, Texas TWT and Hokage Ballers zoomed past their foes in the Recreational Division of the tournament organized by One Unite Sports.
Texas TWT turned back Wolfpack, 86-70, thanks to team effort.
All players contributed in scoring with Ryan Rosas winding up with a team-best 23 points, JC Obar adding 19 points and 15 boards and Nomar Adrias with 18 points.
Eugene Turtor led all scorers with 25 for Wolfpack.
Hokage Ballers crushed Don Bosco Manila, 118-72.
Seven players came out with double-digit output for Hokage Ballers, scored mostly from inside the paint where they got 88.
Allan Balbuena paced Hokage Ballers with 22 points and 10 boards.
The duo of Pierre Acuin and Geo Delo Roca, who combined for 51 points for Don Bosco, wasn’t enough to life the undermanned Don Bosco side.
