Teleperformance Dominates, 3 Others Score in Week 3 Intermediate Division Action

Defending title-holder Teleperformance scored a dominant 99-63 over Global Payments to top four winners in Week 3 of the 2017 BPO Classics Basketball Tournament.

Teleperformance led by 12 at the half, and then pushed the gas pedal in the third quarter as they blitzed their foes, 32-12 in the penultimate period to seal the easy win.

Joseph Gabriel’s 18 points and 10 rebounds led Teleperformance, with Karlo Urcia and Mario Maglinao each tallying 12 points. William Johnston hauled down 23 rebounds.

Teleperformance made 12 triples in the game, and also had 52 points in the paint, 18 more than Global Payments’ total from the shaded area. JR Tabulog led the losing side, finishing with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

In another lopsided result, Accenture gunned down VXI, 77-59, likewise using a strong third frame to pull away and take control of the match.

Accenture entered the second half up by just three but went on to outscore VXI 23-10 in the following 10 minutes which allowed them to dictate the tempo.

Although only two were able to reach double-digit scoring for Accenture (Jerome Zaballa and Steven Camaya), 12 of the 14 players fielded in were able to make a field goal.

Emilio Callelero had 20 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists in a losing effort, while Mark Haldos added 10 markers.

In other results, Concentrix defeated Optum Global Solutions, 69-59 while EXL downed SBO, 79-72.

Willy Garcera chipped in a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds while Ismael Abdisalam also finished with 13 markers for Concentrix.

Jay Valdes and Dave Santos carried Optum Global Solutions with 18 and 14 points, respectively.

EXL saw four players score in twin digits. They drew 28 points from JV Celadena. He also grabbed nine rebounds and had four steals. Raniel Belen added 15 points and 10 boards.
