Accenture and IBEX scored separate wins in the Recreational Plus Division of the continuing 2017 BPO Classics Basketball Tournaments last weekend.
Accenture easily beat ARMCO, 82-60 behind three double-digit scorers led by Kevin Marasigan’s all-around effort of 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals.
John Sarmiento and John Mark Sarabia each added 10 points in the win.
Accenture opened the game taking a 26-14 lead after the first quarter, and then extended it to 44-25 entering the halftime break to take control of the match.
Russell Rida was the only bright spot for ARMCO in the loss, tallying 20 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks.
Accenture improved to 2-0 with the victory.
IBEX, on the other hand, edged Ingram Micro, 67-60 after a strong third quarter onslaught to record their first win of the season.
IBEX fell behind by 12 points entering the intermission, but used a 24-8 third period to turn things around. They were able to hold off their opponents in the final quarter to complete the comeback.
Juan Carlos Lopez led IBEX with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Fellow starter Alkaine Llovit added 14 points.
Aries Parucha and JL Luces both scored 13 points for Ingram Micro but the entire team shot only 33 percent overall from the field.
