Personiv, QBE and Vocus Sales listed big wins even as AMMEX won by a nose in Pool 1 action in the 2017 BPO Classics Recreational Division over the weekend.
Just the same, Shell Business Operations and Personiv got convincing wins while Stellar BPO toiled for the victory in Pool 2 games held at the Phenom Sports Center.
In Pool 2, Personiv crushed Shearwater Health, 75-55.
It was an easy victory for Personiv, which opened with a 38-13 first half and never looked back, leading by as much as 25 late in the game.
Paulo Chueng paced Personiv with 22 points and 13 rebounds that also went with four steals.
Personiv also won by a significant margin, 71-59, over Eastvantage.
A third quarter break away helped Personiv build a safe distance in the payoff period.
Four of the six contributors wound up in double digit points but Lester Magallanes stood out with 19 points along with AJ Firmalino who had 13 points and 11 rebounds.
In Pool 1 matches, QBE overturned CFOS; Vocus Sales frustrated Wells Fargo, 72-59; and AMMEX nipped Ring Central, 74-71.
QBE relied on Ronald Macahia, who topscored with 21 points while getting another team best of nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Vocus had four players scoring twin digits in the victory over Wells Fargo.
John Tapia and Lorenz Palmos unleashed 15 points each while Ronaldo Rebugio and Paulo Samonte added 13 and 11, respectively.
It was a different story for AMMEX, which made shots when it mattered most to escape Ring Central.
From a tied game with 1:05 to play, AMMEX closed on a 5-2 run behind pace setter Mark Odoemene, who had 19 points and six rebounds off the bench.
Mandy Calzita (15 points, 13 rebounds) and Gelmeh Saballo (10 points, 13 rebounds) were also phenomenal for AMMEX in the crucial win.
More in Pool 2, Shell Business Operations dismantled Shearwater Health, 85- 66, while Stellar BPO chalked up a 66-60 decision over PSG Global Solutions.
SBO came out firing and ran away with it, building a lead as big as 21 points late in the contest despite a better showing from Shearwater Health the rest of the way.
The chunk of the scoring duties fell on the lap of Hernan Sison, who jumped at the chance and scored 28 including four triples for SBO.
Stellar BPO, on the other hand, lost a double digit lead but had enough cushion to withstand PSG Global Solutions.
PSG Global Solutions came to as close as 62-60, but that was the last it would score as Stellar BPO closed out with four straight points.
Miguel Castellano carried the cudgels for Stellar BPO with an impressive line of 26 points and 20 rebounds.
