ARMCO and Concentrix are set for a collision course for the 2017 BPO Classics Intermediate Division championship.
Both ARMCO and Concentrix sealed a place in the final round of the tournament organized by One Unite Sports & Events, Inc.
In the semifinals, ARMCO booted out Teleperformance, 88-80.
Behind the strength of its starting 5, ARMCO negated Allan Violeta’s 30-point explosion for Telepeformance and completed the come back from 19 points down.
After trailing 40-21 with six minutes left before halftime, ARMCO unleashed a 34-point third quarter to close in within one before taking the lead for good on a jumper from Lorenzo Jacob with 8:16 left.
Alwin Elinon paced ARMCO with 23 points that went with 12 rebounds and nine assists while Lester Pacete added 18, Mark Bautista 16 and Angelo Aguilera and Jacob 10 markers each.
In the other semis game, Concentrix nipped Accenture, 65-61.
Christopher Catamora continued to carry Contentrix on his shoulders, this time unleashing 21 points including the last seven of his team.
With Accenture inching within two with 28 ticks left, Concentrix turned to Catamora, who nailed the dagger jumper 14 seconds after.
Charles Mendoza and Mark Zaballa kept their team within striking distance as they wound up with 14 and 11 points, respectively for Accenture.
