Accenture, Eastvantage and Mobility Chat barged into the win column of the 2018 BPO Classics Recreational Division over the weekend at the Phenom Sports Center.
In just their debut games, Eastvantage and Mobility Chat gained the upper hand while Accenture was able to bounce back from its opening match defeat.
Accenture wasted no time dominating PSG Global Solutions, 90-60, during the third week of the tournament organized by One Unite Sports & Events, Inc.
There was no shortage of firepower for Accenture, which had six people scoring in double digits to bury PSG Global Solutions, which are winless in three games.
John Sarmiento led all scorers with 19, Larry Paa added 14, Jobert Otero 13, Kevin Marasigan 11 points, Ronjel Chan and Rieghor Gustillo 10 points apiece for Accenture, which hiked its record to 1-1.
In the other game, Mobility Chat stunned ARMCO, 74-73, on a clutch bucket from Philip Sarceno.
Sarceno capped off his game-long brilliance for ARMCO with a triple with 30 seconds remaining that turned a two-point deficit into one-point edge.
ARMCO had a chance to steal the win but Ernesto Totaan missed his three-point attempt and Jose Hao Guan lost the ball in their final possession.
Sarceno wound up with 25 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three while Arman Adviento also had a solid showing with 19 points and 11 boards.
Meanwhile, Eastvantage withstood Stellar BPO side, 61-56, in a see-saw battle.
With Luigi Magallanes at the forefront, Eastvantage was able to overcome a dismal 23-12 second quarter and grabbed the lead for good with 6:10 left in the third.
Eastvantage led by as much as 11 points, but Stellar BPO went down swinging and still trimmed the lead down to single digits late in the game.
Magallanes poured 22 points in the win but got a lot of boost from the starters with Joseph Bacosmo notching a double-double with 13 markers and 15 boards.
