Still the hottest team in the league, ARMCO is moving closer to a sweep of the elimination round of the 2018 BPO Classics Competitive Division.
Taking down another tough foe in Concentrix, ARMCO improved to 6-0 to stay the lone undefeated team in the tournament organized by One Unite Sports & Events, Inc.
Meanwhile, Teleperformance got back into winning track with a huge victory and Shell Business Operations picked up an important win last Friday at the Phenom Sports Center.
ARMCO shut down Concentrix, 76-62, in the battle of the top two teams in the Competitive Division.
From the get-go, ARMCO had the upper hand and never let Concentrix gain a sliver of momentum allowing them to push the lead to as big as 22 in the fourth quarter.
A strong performance from the starters fueled ARMCO with all five players scoring at least 10 points. Mark Fraginal led the attack with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Concentrix managed to keep up with ARMCO in the paint, but was doomed by its poor first quarter performance as it dropped to 5-2.
In the other game, Teleperformance vented its ire on Optum and delivered a 105-59 demolishing.
Teleperformance bounced back from its first loss to Wells Fargo last week and fired from all cylinders with six players finishing in double digits.
Irvin Gomez paced Teleperformance with 20 points on four triples, four rebounds and six assists but it was Optum’s Roberto Valdez Jr who paced all scorers with 22 in a losing effort.
The loss extended Optum’s misery as it spiraled to 1-5.
SBO, meanwhile, followed up its big win over Teleperformance the previous week and dumped Accenture, 88-55.
Taking full advantage of Accenture’s undermanned line-up, SBO pummelled Accenture with all 13 players contributing points to the cause.
At the forefront is Mikee Capacio, who unleashed 15 points while Artheodore added 13 points and four rebounds. Lester Ventic flirted with a double double with nine points 10 boards.
